MikroTik Cube 60Pro ac
Recently, 60GHz wireless solutions have become increasingly popular because they offer the speed and stability of fiber optics, while saving a lot of time and money on installation and maintenance. The Cube 60Pro ac is a MikroTik device that operates at 60GHz on the 802.11 ay standard.
802.11ay standard
The latest Cube 60Pro ac product series takes the advantages of 60GHz networking to the next level - with the 802.11ay standard for even greater distance, stability, speed and convenience. You can get a pre-configured set of two Cube 60Pro ac devices: Wireless Wire Cube Pro. Just point the devices at each other and turn them on. They will form an extremely fast, encrypted wireless connection.
Point-to-point or point-to-multipoint connections
The Cube 60Pro ac is a powerful client access point for point-to-point solutions that supports the latest 60GHz 802.11ay wireless standard for connections up to 2.4km. In fact, this CPE device enables ultra-fast point-to-point connections of up to 1km or point-to-multipoint connections of up to 600m. The company has also added support for channel 5, so even greater distances can theoretically be achieved. In Mikrotik 's tests , the Cube 60Pro ac easily maintained a reliable connection over a distance of 2.4km.
Technical characteristics
The access point is powered by a 4-core IPQ-4019 processor with 256 MB RAM. The device has one 10/100/1000 Ethernet port with support for PoE 802.3af/at power. A gigabit PoE power injector is included. The IPQ4019's integrated wireless module for 5 GHz provides a redundant source of wireless connectivity, with support for Wi-Fi 5 standards and a connection speed of about 433 Mbps. As for 60 GHz, the access point can work with both the new 802.11ay and 802.11ad standards.
Support for automatic switching
The 60 GHz frequency does not depend on a congested wireless band and offers high speed and throughput. However, it can sometimes lead to problems in bad weather conditions. That's why the Cube 60Pro ac devices support automatic switching to the 5GHz frequency. MikroTik has also added a powerful 11.5 dBi directional antenna.
Practical form CubeG-5ac60ay
In addition, compared to previous models, Mikrotik has upgraded the chassis with a solid metal base to improve mounting and cooling capabilities. The Cube's form factor stems from pure practicality: it is rugged, unobtrusive and compact.
