Ubiquiti U6-Pro dual-band access point
The UniFi6 Pro (U6 Pro) is a powerful dual-band Wi-Fi Access Point 6, ideal for home and office use. The U6 Pro is capable of achieving a combined throughput of up to 5.3 Gbps in the 5 GHz (4x4 MU-MIMO and OFDMA) and 2.4 GHz (2x2 MU-MIMO and OFDMA) frequency bands, allowing it to support more than 300 simultaneously connected clients while maintaining a consistent, reliable wireless connection across the network.
Backward compatibility
To ensure reliable performance in the 2.4 and 5GHz bands, Ubiquiti has equipped the access point with built-in MIMO antennas. The antennas have 4 dBi and 6 dBi gain for the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands, respectively. The new Unifi 6 Pro access point is backward compatible with previous standards. This means there will be no need to replace all devices in the network. In addition, 802.11ac devices paired with Unifi 6 Pro will be able to demonstrate a whole new level of data transfer speeds. In such cases, speeds of up to 3.4 Gbit/s can be achieved, as the channel width increases to 160 MHz.
Transmission security
The U6-PRO access point supports power from 44 to 57 V DC, supplied by PoE over a standard Ethernet cable. A number of features, including guest traffic isolation and WPA3, are responsible for data transmission security.
