Copper patch cord Cat.7 S/FTP 20Gb/s from Extralink
Cat.7 S/FTP copper patch cord by Extralink is the ideal choice for individuals and businesses expecting the highest quality network connections. It offers speeds of up to 20 Gb/s over the full 100-metre distance and supports frequencies of up to 600 MHz, ensuring excellent performance in demanding environments such as 4K/8K video transmission or high-load networks. Thanks to advanced shielding of each wire pair and an additional outer shield for the entire cable, Cat.7 effectively eliminates electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, guaranteeing stable and reliable connections. In addition, it is more future-proof and durable than Cat.6, making it a cost-effective investment in modern and resilient network infrastructure.
The shielded Category 7 S/FTP patch cord by Extralink is terminated with shielded, gold-plated plugs. It is made from a four-core twisted-pair cable made of pure copper, which makes it possible to power network devices using the PoE standard.
Advantages of Cat.7 compared to Cat.6:
- Higher bandwidth – supports speeds of up to 20 Gb/s over 100 metres (Cat.6 only up to 55 metres for 10 Gb/s).
- Better protection against interference – shielding of each pair and the entire cable (S/FTP) minimises EMI and crosstalk.
- Higher operating frequency – supports up to 600 MHz (Cat.6: 250 MHz).
- Greater durability and reliability – higher quality of materials and construction.
- Future-proof technology – compatibility with modern Ethernet standards, a better long-term investment.
