MikroTik CubeSA 60Pro ac
Recently, 60GHz wireless solutions have become increasingly popular because they offer the speed and stability of fiber optics, while saving a lot of time and money on installation and maintenance. The CubeSA 60Pro ac is a MikroTik device that operates at 60GHz on the 802.11ay standard.
CubeSA 60Pro ac sector antenna
CubeSA 60Pro ac is a complete sector antenna with a sturdy and easy-to-install bracket, very decent size, L4 license, 60° (60GHz) bandwidth, Gigabit Ethernet with passive as well as active PoE support and is suitable as an access point for 60GHz PTMP installations working on 802.11ad/ay with real throughput of up to 1Gbps Full Duplex at distances up to 800m.
Technical characteristics
The CubeSA 60Pro ac is based on a 4-core IPQ-4019 716 MHz processor, has 256 MB of RAM and runs on RouterOS, L4 license. Although the access point is positioned as a 60GHz device, it also has a 5GHz radio with 802.11a/n/ac as a backup in case of a possible power outage in bad weather.
Point-to-multipoint connection
The CubeSA 60Pro ac sector antenna reaches distances of about 600 meters in point-to-multipoint mode. Depending on the configuration, the distance can be even greater. For example, with devices such as MikroTik nRAY, up to 800 meters can be reached in point-to-multipoint mode.
Support for automatic switching
The 60 GHz frequency does not depend on a congested wireless band and offers high speed and throughput. However, it can sometimes lead to problems in bad weather conditions. That's why CubeSA 60Pro ac devices support automatic switching to 5GHz.
Practical form of MikroTik CubeG-5ac60ay-SA
In addition, compared to previous models, Mikrotik has upgraded the chassis with a solid metal base to improve mounting and cooling capabilities. The CubeSA's form factor stems from pure practicality: it is rugged, unobtrusive and compact.
